Contaminated environment

Diving in contaminated environments such as primary sedimentation tanks, digestion towers and sewage treatment plants also requires specialist equipment. We use special helmet diving equipment and overpressure suits to enter contaminated pools and help with inspection and cleaning work on the system. When carrying out various maintenance work, we always adhere to the regulations of DGUV Information 201-034 so that we can guarantee the safety of our team, even in water contaminated by hazardous substances and waste.

We work at high temperatures in a special gas-tight suit and remove sludge and dirt residues so that the primary clarification process can run smoothly again. With the help of modern pumping and suction technology, we can remove deposited sludge masses and rebalance the bacteria content inside the tank. The Kerlen divers also help with repair work inside the plant and tackle the maintenance of water-bearing systems. For example, damaged culverts or septic tanks can be cleaned and repaired directly under water without having to accept long downtimes.
