We work in accordance with the guidelines of the employers’ liability insurance association (BGV-C 23) with qualified divers certified by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). In addition to the maximum permissible diving depth of 50 m in accordance with BGV-C 23, we are also able to reach greater depths by using mixed gases.

We are Kerlen Taucher GmbH, a highly motivated company specializing in professional underwater work and hydraulic engineering. Our passion is anchored in the field of hydraulic engineering, which is precisely why our certified diving and hydraulic engineering company is unlike any other. Starting out as a small company in Geesthacht near Hamburg, we had big dreams. Our enthusiasm for diving and our fascination with ports and shipping have ultimately brought us to where we are today. Our Chamber of Industry and Commerce-recognized diving training company has been in business for 20 years and tackles a variety of different tasks every day. In addition to construction diving, various services, salvage, assembly and maintenance work and hydraulic engineering work, we also regularly take on jobs offshore and help with, for example, accident inspections and the construction and repair of wind turbines. Our work sites include hydraulic structures, construction pits, port facilities, sewage treatment plants, ships, drinking water wells, hydroelectric power plants and fire water tanks, to name but a few. We also deal with cases in contaminated environments, such as wastewater treatment plants and industrial facilities, provide assistance in ports and waterways and have excellent knowledge of maritime and inland waterway shipping. We want to offer our customers reliable and safe services and results with a great deal of energy and innovative spirit. That’s why our employees are the special kind. Our company has around 15 competent employees who, together with our master diver and master hydraulic engineer, Karl Kerlen, work energetically under and on the water.

We are proud to call our work a “different kind”. Unlike other specialist companies, we don’t just dive into the depths for you, we bring the whole package to the top for you: The tasks of planning, calculating and testing are also included in our range of qualifications. While other companies have specialized specifically in underwater work, we have already gone one step further. Our talented specialists are from the planning and engineering side. This helps us to complete your jobs more reliably and far more precisely to give you the desired end result. In addition to working in our beautiful home country, we also often travel abroad and get to work there.
Our determination enables us to handle even the most difficult projects masterfully and does not limit the professionalism of our specialists even in other regions.
